Beautifully Undressed Parties at the UK Lingerie Awards

On Wednesday 4th December, Beautifully Undressed joined the great & the good in the lingerie industry, a sprinkling of celebrities, including model Elle Liberachi & Chloe Simms from Towie, as well as passionate consumers of lingerie at the prestigious event, The UK Lingerie Awards.  The event took place at the stunning venue in London, The Freemasons Hall in Covent Garden.

The UK Lingerie Awards is organised by Lingerie Insight Magazine , the go to editorial for all things Lingerie in the UK, to acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of the industry and it's professionals,  brands and businesses that make up what is a fantastic industry.  The event is also a glittering opportunity for everyone to let their hair down at the end of a what has hopefully been a successful year - and that's exactly what we ALL DID!

 This was our first Lingerie Awards event and having just celebrated our first birthday, it was very special for us, more so as we had been put forward for the public vote for category of Favourite Digital Retailer of the Year.  This accolade however, went to Figleaves.com and whilst it was a long shot, we were just delighted to be acknowledged alongside the big names in the UK lingerie world. Other highlights included the auction of The Queen's, Brian May's Guitar for the Rock & Ribbon Charity, fronted by super model Elle Liberachi and a special Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Gillian Proctor, Programme Course Leader for De Montfort University's Fashion Contours Course and the chair of the International Institute of Intimate Apparel. A formidable lady Gillian has had an amazing multi-disciplinary career in the lingerie industry, but was acknowledged for her 'efforts to embolden the next generation of lingerie designers'.

So team Beautifully Undressed went to celebrate our first year amongst our peers and acknowledge our collective successes.  In total 22 Awards were handed out in the great hall to brands such as Olivia Von Halle,  Janet Reger, Gosssard, Madam Supertrash and Maison Close & once formalities were done, the party continued at the ultimate clubbing venue Aura Mayfair.

It really was a wonderful occasion and one that really made us feel proud to be part of an industry that  acknowledges and celebrates it's collective achievements in an utterly flamboyant way.  We can't wait till the next year, where we will certainly be working towards being a proud recipient of the beautiful gold award!
