Mistresses of Teasewear, Holloway Smith Noir launches at Beautifully Undressed

Once in a while you come across a brand that you just swoon over and just have to have, what ever the cost! Well, Holloway Smith Noir is just that brand. I came across them last year soon after our launch in Lagos where we took Queen of Burlesque Immodesty Blaize to Nigeria, to open our fashion show. Holloway Smith Noir communicated with me soon after, with a view to possibly collaborating at some point. Having seen their site, I admit lusting after their range of decadent pasties, masks and nipple tassels and we started discussing the possibility of HSN joining the fantastic Playtime brands we already offer at Beautifully Undressed. However, it was not until my recent trip to the new Trade show, Lingerie Edit early this year, where they were exhibiting, that I finally met, one half of the sister act, Sophie Holloway and I was totally hooked.

Who are Holloway Smith Noir you may ask? Well HSN (as they are fondly known as) or 'The Mistresses of Teasewear' is the collaboration between fabulous sisters Alice Holloway-Smith & Sophie Holloway. Inspired by Weimar Cabaret of the mid - late 1920's and Parisian junk shops, the sisters established their brand in 2011 and have since gathered quite a reputation for creating beautifully luxurious burlesque costumes, bespoke lingerie & their unique range of teasewear accessories. Their reputation in the world of Burlesque is renowned having designed for some of the hottest burlesque performers, including, Polly Rae, Lady Alex and Cabaret Rouge, where they're known for luxuriously glamorous costumes with an "unexpected dollop of naughtiness", dazzling cabaret and burlesque loving audiences worldwide. So with a distinguished repertoire, they decided to unleash their saucy erotic imagination into everyone's boudoir by designing some truly beautiful boudoir accessories, which include, Pasties, Tassels, Masks, Blindfolds, Spank paddles & Bondage cuffs, all with the intention of injecting excitement during ' boudoir frivolity'!

Inspired by 1930's obsession with the Orient, these luxurious tassels allude to sophistication and innocence, but with an absolute & unequivocal nod to the Vamp showgirl or Burlesque Queen inside us all, wanting to shimmy and seduce our way out - proudly embracing our womanhood and sexuality!
